September - Gran Premio Polla de Potrancas (GI) ® - (1000 Guineas)
Group I Classic, which starts the Argentinean Turf Triple Crown for 3 year old fillies.
Distance: 1600 meters. It is part of the so called Selective Process.
September - Gran Premio Polla de Potrillos (GI) ® - (2000 Guineas)
Group I Classic, which starts the search for the Argentinean Turf Triple Crown for 3 year old colts, over 1600 meters, and it is also part of the Selective Process. To win this race gets the SPC to race the Gran Premio Nacional.
November - Gran Premio Nacional (GI) ®, the Argentinean Derby - (Derby)
The "Argentinean Derby" takes place since 1884, and it is the most expected of the year Argentinean Turf Classic, because it determines the best SPC of the year and finishes Argentinean Turf Triple Crown. For fillies and colts over the longest distance: 2500 meters. It is a true National Horseracing Celebration.
Gran Premio Selección (GI) Argentinean Turf Triple Crown - (Oaks)
Another exclusive Classic for 3 year old fillies which is part of the Selective Process.
Distance: 2000 meters. The winners are unquestionable representatives of the National Turf.
Other Horseracing Events
March, April and May - Campeonato Palermo de Oro®
The six 2000 meters classics which are part of the Championship, take place during the first half of the year. It is divided in "Palermo Oro Championship for every horse" and "Palermo Oro® Championship for fillies". It gives impressive prizes.
March and April - Copa Bullrich®
It is the race for 2 year SPC, which are enrolled in the "Bullrich & Co. s.r.l." catalogue. In March are the classification races, over 1200 meters. The winners go to the Great Final, which takes place in April, over 1400 meters.
November and December - Copa precoces
Traditional competition over 800 meters, which represents a challenge for 2-year horses: it is the first chance to show their resistance to the tracks. To arrive in the Big Final in December, the horses must go through the "classification races" which are run in November.
